About

“You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.” ~Oprah Winfrey

Patty Kline-Capaldo is a writer, teacher, and creativity coach who believes we all have a creative spark within us that is often dimmed by doubt, fear, or the pull of everyday demands. Her passion is working with writers, visual artists, and anyone seeking to live a more creative life. She enables clients to rediscover the artist within, identify and overcome blocks so they can put perfectionism aside and just start, learn by doing, develop a practice, set goals and reach them.

Patty has facilitated a weekly writers’ group, Just Write, for five years, with weekly attendance averaging twenty writers of all levels of experience. Members have published five books and multiple short stories—both memoir and fiction.

Patty holds a BA degree in Journalism and History from Indiana University and teacher certification from Ursinus College and is pursuing certification from Creativity Coaching Association. As a life-long learner, she is continually seeking out courses and workshops on writing craft and creativity. She has also studied sound healing and energy drumming with shamanic healer Cyndy Paige and Reiki master Susannah Stanton Horsey.

Patty’s writings have been published in the following anthologies: The Muse, The Inspirations of Our Lives (Stahl/Biebuyck, 2017); The Life Unexpected, An Anthology of Stories and Poems (Lucky Stars Publishing, 2016); Slants of Light, Stories and Poems From the Women’s Writing Circle (Women’s Writing Circle, 2013).
